Bio-Roller® Micro Needle Therapy

The Bio-Roller® is a FDA-approved skin care device and the world's first bio-compatible micro-needle roller.  The Bio-Roller® has an outstanding ability to improve your skin because it:

How does it work?

Bio-Roller® Therapy (also referred to as skin needling, dermal rolling and micro-needling) is performed with high-grade medical stainless steel micro needles mounted on a small wheel that gently rolls over the face and painlessly penetrates the skin’s upper surface.  This simple but revolutionary treatment provides multiple benefits:

Skin Rollers stimulate collagen growth that results in the improvement of the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks.  Your skin naturally starts healing (promoting collagen) the minute it feels an injury (or stimulation).

The rollers create thousands of micro-channels in the skin that allow nutrients to absorb; the channels close after several minutes, locking in the anti-aging nutrients and anti-oxidants. 

What can I expect with my Bio-Roller® Treatment?

1. The procedure is not painful
2. It is typical for the skin to be red for up to one hour after your visit, and the next day you could feel a bit of a tingle on the area (a "good" feeling as to you know you did something to your skin)
3. A treatment lasts about 45 minutes
4. We do not suggest cleansing your skin or wearing make-up for 10 hours after your treatment

How many treatments do I need?

It is recommended to have 6 Bio-Roller® treatments scheduled 1 week apart for your initial visits.  After that you are on "maintenance" and we suggest a Bio-Roller® treatment every 6 months.  We highly suggest chemical peels and facials to be done throughout your maintenance period.

Depending on your skin type, condition and time schedule, we do offer a "deeper" Bio-Roller® series of treatments that are scheduled 2-3 weeks apart.  You can expect more redness from these treatments.  Please call for a complimentary consultation with our Para-Medical Estheticians to see if you are a candidate for this.
